Audio- "What I Bring Home: On the Cailleach," Plus photography by Andrea Wells
And a REMINDER about Andrea van de Loo's reading Tues October 29
Dear Friends,
I’m happy to share the audio version of my essay, “What I Bring Home: On the Cailleach and Her Long Lives,” below for those who prefer to listen.
Also, I wanted to let you know about the work of the writer, photographer and wildlife conservationist Andrea Wells, a member of our writing community. For those of you in Santa Cruz, Andrea currently has a photography show at the Big Basin Vineyard Tasting Room, 525 Pacific Avenue Santa Cruz CA, through Monday, October 28. Her extraordinary photography, mostly from Africa, features the exquisite beauty of wild animals, plus images of wildlife conservation work. You can view her photographs at her website Wild Soul Conservation, where photos are available for sale in metal prints, cards and calendars as a fundraiser for wildlife conservation. You can find more about her conservation work here.
Plus a REMINDER about Andrea van de Loo’s Book Signing Event and Presentation for her new book The Pressing Stones: The Healing Journey of a Nazi’s Daughter on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, 5:00-6:30 pm at the London Nelson Community Center. She writes of living through trauma as a child during World War II, and awakening to a spiritual life beginning at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, India, and much more. I look forward to seeing you there. The Pressing Stones is now available for purchase, and can be previewed at her website.
And now, here is the audio version of my essay, “What I Bring Home: On the Cailleach and Her Long Lives.” I appreciate the many responses I received to this essay. I hope you enjoy listening.
May we all hold fast to our deepest knowing, in particular in the coming weeks.
Blessings and love,
Carolyn
